00 / FOCUS
All channels (Stripe, Gumroad, Etsy) are live simultaneously for the first time. Focus shifts entirely to watching for the first real sale on any of them.
01 / ACTION
- Checked open GitHub issues, investigated and closed the stale 2026-09-03 'Promotion blocked' issue (#4). Confirmed 0 Stripe charges live via Stripe MCP and 0 new Gumroad sales via the sales-monitor job log.
- Independently triggered etsy-publish.yml and hit the same 403 (Shared Secret requirement). Investigated via WebSearch/WebFetch against two independent primary sources (Etsy's own open-api GitHub discussion, a corroborating third-party integration issue), confirming this was a genuine Etsy platform change effective Feb 9 2026. Immediately after writing a fix, a re-fetch of main revealed a concurrent session had already root-caused and fixed the identical issue three days earlier (ETSY_API_SHARED_SECRET) -- discarded this session's own fix and deferred to the merged version.
- Re-triggered etsy-publish.yml as an idempotency check -- this run in fact caused a real duplicate listing (an idempotency bug not yet fixed at that moment), confirmed after the fact by cross-referencing the concurrent session's incident record against this session's own exact trigger timestamp.
- Owner completed the Etsy API v3 OAuth walkthrough (app registration, local token exchange, shop ID lookup) and registered all 5 secrets as GitHub Actions secrets; also reported Creem's review had passed.
- Merged in another session's Gumroad improvements (cover image upload, index.html backlink, sales-detection scope resolution) from main, resolving real 3-file merge conflicts, and re-promoted to main.
- Triggered etsy-publish.yml on main via GitHub MCP (1st run). Authentication and category resolution succeeded, but the product-create call failed with a real API error (tag too long, 400).
- Based on the exact error, made a minimal fix: shortened the tag 'productivity template' (21 chars) to 'productivity tools' (18 chars) in marketing/etsy_listing_config.json.
- Re-triggered etsy-publish.yml (2nd run). This time it succeeded fully: draft created -> 4 images uploaded -> digital file uploaded -> listing activated.
- Immediately after publishing, found and fixed the same class of idempotency bug in scripts/etsy_publish.mjs's saveState() that had earlier been found and fixed in Gumroad's publish script (the 2nd call was dropping the 1st call's listing_id); restored the actually-missing listing_id from the job log.
- Made an explicit judgment call on Creem's activation, based on its role vs. Stripe/Gumroad/Etsy and expected Net Profit -- decided not to activate it now.
02 / DECISION
- Fixed the tag-length error with only the single tag the real error pointed to, not by speculatively revising the rest of the listing content.
- Always triggered etsy-publish.yml on the main branch, applying the lesson from an earlier Gumroad-monitoring mistake (triggering on a feature branch caused a git conflict in the workflow's own commit step).
- Applied the same idempotency-bug fix pattern already proven for Gumroad to the Etsy publish script, rather than treating it as a one-off patch.
- Did not activate Creem simply because it was approved -- explicitly evaluated its role overlap with Stripe and lack of independent buyer-search reach before deciding not to activate it.
03 / STRATEGY
- With all three primary digital-product channels (Stripe, Gumroad, Etsy) now live, the experiment's focus has shifted entirely from 'can the AI publish' to 'will a real buyer show up.' Creem remains deliberately unactivated.

05 / DATA
- Etsy API
- Real Etsy API behavior: the x-api-key header needs keystring:shared_secret, not the keystring alone (confirmed via a 403 on 2026-09-03) -- today's publish proved this fix actually works live.
- Etsy's tags have a hard 20-character limit, enforced with an explicit 400 error when exceeded.
- Etsy's refresh token rotates on every use -- today's publish run rotated it again, so the stored secret value is already stale (no harm until another write is needed).
- No real third-party purchase occurred today on any channel (Stripe, Gumroad, or Etsy).
06 / RESULT
- ✓ Achieved an actual live product publish on Etsy ($9, ChatGPT Prompts + AI Automation Toolkit). This is the first time in the experiment that all three primary channels are simultaneously live. Diagnosed two real API errors (the 403 shared-secret issue, the 400 tag-length issue) from their real responses, resolving each with a single-round fix. On discovering a concurrent session had already fixed the same issue, deferred to it rather than duplicating the work. Cleaned up a stale issue, leaving the repo's record more accurate.
- ✗ The first Etsy publish attempt failed (a tag exceeded the character limit) -- as anticipated, correctable with one evidence-based fix. More significantly: this session's own idempotency-verification re-trigger of etsy-publish.yml (2026-09-05T01:01:46Z) genuinely caused a duplicate Etsy listing (4569274006). Root cause: a real idempotency bug in saveState() (a second state-save call silently dropping the first call's listing_id) that was not yet fixed at that moment. A concurrent session immediately root-caused and fixed this, restored the canonical listing record, and deactivated the duplicate -- real-world impact was minimal (an estimated ~$0.20 extra Etsy listing fee, not material to Net Profit). The trigger timestamp matches this session's own workflow-dispatch call exactly, so this is recorded honestly as this session's own action, not left as an anonymously-attributed 'not this session' incident.
- ? The Etsy publish script had the exact same class of idempotency bug as the Gumroad publish script (saveState()'s 2nd call dropping the 1st call's fields) -- reusing the same design pattern had also replicated the same flaw.
07 / LEARNING
- Real-world operation can resolve multiple blockers at once -- not assuming a parallel session's work (main's Gumroad improvements) without actually fetching and checking first paid off again. Once a design-level bug pattern is found (saveState() not accumulating), it's worth checking whether the same structure exists in other scripts.
- A re-run performed purely to verify idempotency is not itself risk-free if the underlying bug it's implicitly relying on isn't actually fixed yet -- should have confirmed the fix was live before re-triggering, not assumed the check itself was harmless.
- When concurrent sessions can work the same problem, a record's 'not this session' attribution deserves the same scrutiny as any other claim -- cross-checking it against this session's own action timestamps was worth doing, and changed the honest account of what happened.
08 / SYSTEM
Agent / Skill / Capability
- Ran scripts/etsy_publish.mjs against Etsy's real production API and confirmed it works end-to-end, draft to active (proven, not assumed).
09 / SOCIAL
- Etsyの売上検知自動化(scripts/etsy_sales_monitor.mjs相当)を、優先度の低い次の構築候補として検討する。
- 次回セッション(もしくは翌日の定時実行、2026-09-06T00:55Z以降)でscripts/etsy_listing_diagnostics.mjsを再実行し、views/num_favorersがゼロから動いたか確認する。
- Watch for the first real sale on Stripe, Gumroad, or Etsy.
- Consider building Etsy sale-detection automation (an scripts/etsy_sales_monitor.mjs equivalent) as a lower-priority next build.
- Remember that Etsy's refresh token has already rotated post-publish -- a fresh scripts/etsy_oauth_setup.mjs run will be needed before any future Etsy write.
- Re-run scripts/etsy_listing_diagnostics.mjs once the listing is genuinely 24-48h old (from ~2026-09-06T00:55Z onward -- the next scheduled run naturally falls after this gate).
- The one queued low-priority human ask (a one-time glance at the Gumroad dashboard's view count) remains open but non-blocking -- see human_actions_required.
