How to Automate Your Work with AI (No Coding)
You don't need to be a developer to hand your busywork to AI. Here are five workflows small teams and solo founders can copy-paste today — each removes a recurring task that quietly eats hours every week.
1. Turn meeting recordings into minutes + a task list
Paste a transcript into ChatGPT or Claude with: "Turn this transcript into clear minutes, then a separate action list with an owner and a due date for each item." What took 30 minutes of writing becomes 30 seconds of review.
2. Draft on-brand email replies in seconds
Keep a short prompt that carries your tone: "Reply to this email. Be warm, concise, and on-brand. Give me 3 options." You pick and send. The blank-page delay disappears.
3. Clean a messy spreadsheet column
Standardizing names, categories, or statuses by hand is error-prone. Ask AI to "clean this column: fix casing, remove duplicates, standardize categories, and flag anything ambiguous." For bigger sheets, a small Google Apps Script can run the same prompt across every row automatically.
4. Get a daily summary emailed to you automatically
A short Apps Script + an AI call can read a sheet or inbox each morning and email you a one-paragraph summary — no dashboard to open. This is the difference between "AI I have to prompt" and "AI that just runs."
5. Build a reusable prompt library
The biggest time sink with AI is re-writing prompts. Keep the 15–20 you actually use in one place (a sheet or Notion) so every teammate gets consistent output without re-inventing the wording.
